Finance update After three months of negative returns, my figures have bounced back in style! I've tracked my pots for just over a decade now and May was the biggest jump I've seen. It almost justifies chucking everything I did into the markets for the past 3 months both via my pension at the end of the tax year as well as into my ISA at the start of this tax year! Overall networth is now £1.2m Breakdown for May: ISA up £12k Pension up £16k GIA /easy access savings up £4k Crypto up £15k House price up £5k Total : up £61.6k Another good chunk into my ISA in May, which means it is now full for the year, the quickest I've ever done it! My priorities are now filling Premium Bonds, pound cost averaging into Crypto, and also contributing a few hundred a month into my kids JISAs. 2025/26 tax year: Total change over the past couple of months is now +£36k. FIRE Q4 2019:
Current Net Worth: £360,038
Change from last Quarter: +£10,348
Earliest Age I can FIRE: 49
- My S&S ISA pots (including the 2 JISAs) and pension have performed extremely well for the year, roughly up about 25% (on growth not contributions).
- I have switched my Student Loan payment to Direct Debit, this will run until November 2020 when it will be paid off!
- The only outstanding debt I have is my mortgage, just under £55k. This is in a fix until 2022 although only costing me £300 a month. I have made the maximum 10% over payments already this year.
- Major changes at work mean I expect to receive a sizable lump sum in Q2 2020, consisting of the following:
- Considerable retention payment due to TUPE transfer
- Tax free share payout on my SIP scheme
- Bonus
- Free shares
- Share dividend paid out in June 2020.

- According to my FIRE calculator, the current age I can FIRE is 49
- However this assumes that my Bridge pot remains the same, which obviously it won't! So I expect this figure to get lower, the more I save.
